Kids Tennis Lessons in Dania Beach, FL
Group tennis classes for children, grouped by age and level, at Frost Park and PJ Meli Park in Dania Beach — a few minutes from Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood and Davie. NOVA Tennis Academy has run these programs since 2023, taught by our sectional champion coaches.
Who these classes are for
Our youth program runs from preschool age through the young teens, in small groups split by age and ball colour so a five-year-old is never on the same court as a twelve-year-old. Every new child's first class is free — it's how a family checks the fit before deciding on anything, no card required. (Adults join the academy a different way — see our adult tennis classes.)
What a class looks like
Classes run about an hour, on the same court every week, with the same coach and the same small group — so a child is learning names and faces as much as strokes. Younger groups use lighter, slower foam and red or orange balls sized to a small swing; older groups move up to green and then standard yellow balls as their game develops. Coaches build in games and drills together, not one long line of the same repeated stroke.

All agesAn athletic add-on alongside the tennis groups — speed, agility and strength for players who want extra court time.
$323/ month 2x/week, 120-min classes
Prices are per child, per month. The registration fee is $50 per participant for 2026 (it becomes $70 on 1 January 2027), once a year. Brothers and sisters save 10% on the second child and 15% on the third — or pay $35 for a single drop-in class with no commitment.

- What age can my child start?
- Our youngest group is Preschooler, Ages 3-6 · Red & Orange balls. NOVA Tennis Academy coaches players from age 2 through adult overall; for a child under 3, a private lesson is the better starting point — see private lessons.
- Is the first class really free?
- Yes, for children. It's a full class with the group your child would join, so you can see the coach and the fit before paying anything.
- What should my child bring?
- Comfortable athletic clothes, sneakers, and water. We provide rackets and balls sized to each age group for the first class.
- Do you serve Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood and Davie?
- Yes — our courts are in Dania Beach, a short drive from all three, and many of our families come from there.
- Can siblings join the same class?
- Siblings close in age are usually placed in the same group; a wider age gap means two different groups, with a sibling discount on the second and third child's tuition.
